Okay, okay, real update for a change. This quote is from a temp at work.

Such frivolous things we spend our money on for such a short event. Candles and candle holders? Tablecloths? Silk rose petals? Come on. We have eating surfaces and lighting in the room already, the rest is just superfluous.

Yes, I know it's important. None of those cost very much and I have no problem with buying or having them. It's just silly when you stop to think about it.

This is turning out to be an expensive week. But it is also a lucrative one, so it balances out.

Bought new shoes yesterday. When I read that merchants were expecting crowds second only to the day after Thanksgiving, I decided to screw it and pay the extra $2 in tax. I like these shoes, more than I was expecting. I don't even like taking them off and I've gotten into the habit of taking off my shoes when I come inside. They're just comfy. They hug my feet. It is nice.

Today I bought the bouquets for me and my bridesmaids and also bought some favors and the aforementioned silk rose petals on eBay. A seller of the petals responded to my e-mail asking about combined shipping within minutes of my purchasing them from a competing seller. And since I didn't get a response to an e-mail to the eBay seller I was going to buy the bouquets from, I went ahead and got them at Hobby Lobby this afternoon. And both purchases ended up costing less than they would have if I had gone with the other sellers. Burned! I don't know why I'm getting such enjoyment out of dissing these sellers.

And even though I don't really like driving, it's nice to be mobile every now and then.

I think that's about it, then. Not sure if I can raise the wedding status percentage yet, but we're getting pretty close here. 'Til next time.
